Did you know you can also use the Friend Finder service through the UMB menu?
**This feature is only available for certain prepaid plans
1) Dial *128# (Shortcut *128*3*3*1*2#)
- Select option 3 for “Applications & Services”
- Then, choose option 3 for “Friend Finder”
- Next, select 1 for “Ciri-ciri tersedia”
- and choose 2 for “Find Friend”
- Lastly, choose 1 to “Enter number” and key in Mobile Phone Number of the person whose location you want to find.
2) Once the request is submitted successfully, you’ll get:
RM0.00:Friend Finder: Permission request sent to ******4567. Once they reply OK, you can find this friend by sending FF FIND ******4567 to 20000
At the same time, your family/friends will receive an SMS like this:
RM0.00:Friend Finder:Your friend ******7889 is seeking your permission to find you. To accept, reply with FF OK to 20000.
Then, they have to send an SMS “FF OK <Your Mobile Phone Number> to 20000.
Send SMS “FF OK” to 20000
Example: FF OK
3) Then you will receive a confirmation SMS while your friend or loved one will receive a permission SMS.
RM0.00:Friend Finder: Your friend ******4567 has allowed you to find their loc. To start finding your friend, SMS FF FIND ******4567 to 20000
RM0.30:Friend Finder: ******4567 is near KLCC Convention Center, WP KUALA LUMPUR @ 18:00
That’s it! You can now locate your loved ones anytime by repeating Step 1 to check their latest location.
